Some women probably enter prostitution because
of poverty. I feel sex properly shouldn't be bought and sold. Well, I think it
is about abuse. People are free to abuse their bodies, free to abuse alcohol,
free to abuse all sorts of things, but in my opinion we can never legitimize
the abuse of another person. 'But it isn't abuse if the prostitute is willing',
will be the response. My current understanding and belief is that prostitution
is deeply damaging to the prostitute, but I am willing to be proved wrong. Prostitution
is defined as the performance of sexual acts solely for the purpose of material
gain. Government must now face its responsibility of determining the extent to
which prostitution will continue to impact upon our society. Prostitution affects
our society in many ways. It can
actually lead to more crimes and violence on the streets. Prostitutes used to
be women selling their bodies for money. Sexually transmitted disease, violence, thefts and many crimes take place
with a prostitute exchange.
